Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has announced to shut down its production plant from 2nd To 6th January 2023 due to low inventory levels.
According to the notification, the decision to announce Non-Production Days (NPDs) comes in light of the import restrictions placed for Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The notification adds that new policy by the State Bank of Pakistan requires prior approval for the import of CKD kits, which has adversely impacted clearance of stock.
This has resulted in low inventory levels due to which, the management of Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has decided to temporarily shut down its production plant.
The announced non-production days (NPDs) result in delayed deliveries to customers who have booked Suzuki vehicles.
It is pertinent to mention that Park Suzuki has also opened bookings for the Suzuki Swift GLX-CVT for a limited time.
