Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has announced three more non-production days (NPDs) due to the new import measures for Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
In a notification, the automotive company announced that it will suspend production for three more days from August 29 to 31 due to low inventory levels.
Restrictions have adversely impacted clearance of import consignment which resultantly affected the inventory levels.” said the notification.
It is pertinent to mention that Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced a similar measure to shut down production for 14 days in September due to the new mechanism for imports of CKD kits, which has caused inventory problems for the company.
However, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) recently announced resumption of bookings for corporate customers for some cars, including Wagon R VXR, Wagon R VXL, Cultus VXR, Swift GL Manual, and Swift GL CVT.
Although, the non-production days (NPDs) announced by Pak Suzuki will result in delivery in car deliveries.
