Lucky Motors Corporation (LMC) is reportedly launching the Peugeot 2008, Peugeot 3008, and, Peugeot 5008 in Pakistan. The company has already imported a Completely Built Units (CBUs) of these vehicles for testing purposes and set a local website for the brand along with social media pages on popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
However, the company has not made any official announcement regarding which Peugeot models are expected to launch in Pakistan. The website highlights the Peugeot 2008, Peugeot 3008, and Peugeot 5008 on the main page along with several other vehicles on the ‘Global Lineup Section’ while the ‘Local Lineup Section’ remains empty.
The company does list eight Peugeot Dealerships in Pakistan. However, it is pertinent to mention that most of these are KIA Dealerships which are going to cater to Peugeot customers as well. There is one dealership each in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Sialkot while two dealerships are located in Lahore and Karachi.

Peugeot is a French brand of automobiles which was founded way back in 1810 with a steel foundry that made hand tools, kitchen equipment and bicycles. Peugeot built the company’s first car steam tricycle in 1889 while the first car with an internal combustion engine was built in 1890.
Peugeot 2008 in Pakistan
The SUV was first developed under code name “A94” and ended up replacing the Peugeot 208 in 2013. The vehicle is in its ‘second generation’ which was introduced in 2019 while the company also added a hybrid/electric variant to the lineup as well.

The Peugeot NEW 2008 features a powerful 1.2L Turbo Engine that produces around 131 Horsepower (HP) and 220 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque with 6 Speed Automatic Transmission. The vehicle has gained a lot of traction in Pakistan after it was spotted being tested on local roads.
Exterior
The Peugeot 2008 offers a streamlined and athletic design with the strong lines and sculpted side panels to the set-back windscreen, a large chrome grille that is flanked by the distinctive signature 3-CLAW full LED headlights. These exterior features give a modern look to the vehicle.
Interior
Meanwhile, the interior offers a futuristic design with the new PEUGEOT 3D i-Cockpit®, which features an intuitive driving position, compact steering wheel, 7″ HD* capacitive touchscreen and configurable head-up instrument panel. It boasts keyless entry and starting (PEUGEOT Open & Go), meaning you can lock and unlock the doors with the key in your pocket simply by approaching or moving away from the vehicle.

Peugeot 3008 in Pakistan
The Peugeot 3008 was launched in 2008 as a replacement to the 4007 and 4008. However, the company did not introduce a Hybrid version of the vehicle until 2012, which included the world’s first Diesel Electric Hybrid.
Engine and Transmission
The new PEUGEOT 3008 is available in a choice of PLUG-IN HYBRID and PETROL engines. However, it is highly unlikely the company will launch the Hybrid Variant in Pakistan before the Petrol Variant. The SUV comes with a 1.6: Turbocharged Petrol Engine which produces 162 HP and 240 Nm of torque while mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Lucky Motors Corporation (LMC) may introduce the Hybrid Variant after the launch of the Petrol Variant.
Exterior
The exterior of the Peugeot 3008 offers a blend of strength and smoothness. The vehicle is equipped with a refined front end that includes a frameless grille with gloss black side scoops and painted lower bumper trim frame. The SUV offers full LED headlights with SDL function. Meanwhile, the rear lights include a ‘3D lion claw’ lighting signature and scrolling indicators.
Interior
The PEUGEOT 3008 is also equipped with the upgraded i-Cockpit which offers a simple and intuitive driving experience, enhanced comfort and safety conditions. The 10″ capacitive color touchscreen combined with 3D navigation with voice control and multi-touch technology brings greater levels of functionality. The elegant chrome Piano Keys provide quick and intuitive access to the various comfort functions.

PEUGEOT 5008 in Pakistan
PEUGEOT 5008 was initially launched in 2009 as a compact MPV but it was later reclassified as a compact crossover SUV in 2017. The SUV is similar to the 3008 in several ways, including the exterior, interior and even the engine.
Engine and Transmission
The PEUGEOT 5008 comes with the same powertrain as the 3008 with a 1.6L Turbocharged Petrol Engine that make 162 HP and 240 Nm of torque while mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission system. However, the vehicle offers a Front Wheel Drive (FWD) and All Wheel Drive (AWD) variants. It is still unclear which variant will be introduced in Pakistan.
Exterior
The SUV offers a elegant and mature design with a new frameless radiator grille and brand identity lighting signature, its front end appears perfectly integrated, sculptural and distinctive, with a new metallic silver lower bumper trim and glossy black side scoops. The dynamic and sporty stance of its raised body design is highlighted by the chrome insert that extends the line of the headlights to the rear spoiler.
Interior
Meanwhile, the interior is equipped with the same Peugeot i-Cockpit like the other models. The SUV is fitted with a compact steering wheel for improved handling and seven toggles switches, the new PEUGEOT 5008 comes with a new 10″ HD central touchscreen and the new 12.3″ head-up digital instrument panel in high-quality display, fully configurable and customizable, to follow the main elements of your driving without taking your eyes off the road.

It is still not official whether the company is planning to launch the Peugeot 2008, Peugeot 3008, or the Peugeot 5008 in Pakistan at the same time or maybe introduce entirely different models altogether. However, it is confirmed that Peugeot cars are coming to Pakistan since Lucky Motors Corporation (LMC) have officially set up local accounts for the company as well as a website.
