Al-Haj Automotive Group has notified of a decrease in the price of Proton Saga and Proton X70 SUV in Pakistan under the new Auto Policy (2021-26) which was announced on 7 July 2021 and provides several tax cuts to automakers in the country.
According to the circular issued by the company, the Proton Saga has seen a price reduction of Rs. 50,000 for all models of the sedan while the price for Proton X70 SUV has been decreased by Rs. 100,000 for all variants. The following tables shows the new prices of both vehicles:

It is pertinent to mention that Proton has been facing extreme delays in vehicle deliveries due to the strict lockdown in Malaysia. Furthermore, the current semi-conductor shortage isn’t helping the situation either as other car manufacturers are also having trouble with delivery of their booked vehicles.
Moreover, the new Auto Policy (2021-26) has led to other car manufacturers reducing prices for their vehicles as well, including Kia Lucky Motors, Toyota IMC, Pak Suzuki, United Motors, Prince DFSK, Honda Atlas, Hyundai Pakistan, Changan Master Motor and MG Pakistan.
