Suzuki Alto AGS 2022 variant crosses 2 Million [Unregistered]

Pak Suzuki Motors suspends the booking of the Suzuki Alto AGS variant last year in September 2021 and now the last booked vehicles are being delivered to the customers in the month of December 2021 and January 2022 and being sold [Invoice Price + Own Money] at an all-time-high price tag of Rs 2 million Pakistani Rupees.

‘Own Money Game Continues’

Showroom delivery Suzuki Alto AGS 2022 model ‘Zero Meter’ crosses the all-time-high price of Rs 2 million due to massive demand for Automatic transmission and low fuel consumption and the only vehicle in this segment suddenly suspended.

Even the used low-mileage Suzuki Alto AGS 2021 models are being sold over 2 Million meanwhile the unregistered will cost over 2.1 Million Pakistani Rupees after paying extra Tax and Registration fees.

Unfortunately, there is no other vehicle available in the market which offers Automatic Transmission with a 660cc or 800cc engine suitable for short routes, The monopoly of the Big 3 continues even after several other automobiles brands entered Pakistan.

According to some experts, the global chip shortage might last until 2023 and right now there is no official confirmation by Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) as to how long the booking for Suzuki Alto 660cc remains suspended.

It bears mentioning that Pak Suzuki has also announced the discontinuation of the second generation Suzuki Swift in Pakistan. The news is nothing new as the company issued a notification in this regard last year. However, the company has not disclosed any information as to the replacement of the vehicle but several rumors suggest that the company is planning on introducing the newer fourth-generation model.

The Official Ex-factory Price of Suzuki Alto AGS 2022 is 1,704,000/- adding Rs 200,000 to Rs 250,000 own money reaches 1,950,000 while the Government Filer/Non-Filer Tax 50,000 to 100,000 plus the Registration fees makes it around 2,100,000/-

It is pertinent to mention that Mini Budget impact is yet to Impact the prices of New and Used Vehicles in Pakistan.
