As the country’s economic situation worsens, the automotive industry continues to increase prices as it struggles to operate. The recent price hike by Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has brought the price of Suzuki GR 150 a little over half a million in Pakistan.
Although the automotive company did not specify a reason for the current price hike, the new prices have taken prices to a new high in the country. Nobody ever imagined that a 150CC motorcycle would end up costing them over half a million.
According to Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC), the price Suzuki GR 150 in Pakistan is now Rs. 501,000, which shows how bad the country’s situation actually is at the moment with inflation at an all time high.
It is pertinent to mention that current price hike by Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) is the fourth one this year and the company last increased prices three times during the month of February 2023.
Here’s the new prices as of 7th April 2023:
Model | Old Price (PKR) | New Price (PKR) | Difference (PKR) |
---|---|---|---|
GD 110S | 293,000 | 322,000 | 29,000 |
GS 150 | 318,000 | 350,000 | 32,000 |
GSX 125 | 426,000 | 469,000 | 43,000 |
GR 150 | 455,000 | 501,000 | 46,000 |
After the current price hike, the majority of customers can no longer afford branded motorcycles like Suzuki or Yamaha and they will likely opt for Chinese alternatives like United or Road Prince, which still offer a better value for money.
