Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMC) has announced that the management has made the decision to temporarily shut down its motorcycle plant for a duration of six days.
The company conveyed this information through an official statement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The rationale behind this move is attributed to the current sales demand scenario and the company’s strategic effort to optimize the inventory of finished goods.
Beginning on December 1 and continuing until December 6, Pak Suzuki’s motorcycle plant will remain closed. Notably, the automotive manufacturer has concurrently opted to maintain the operational status of its automobile plant during this period.
This decision follows a series of recent plant closures announced by the company, primarily prompted by inventory shortages. In November,
Pak Suzuki extended the closure of its automobile plant until November 14. Initially, the motorcycle plant was excluded from these closures, but the latest decision indicates a temporary suspension of operations at the bike plant for a week.
