Due to the inflation and skyrocketing prices of brand new cars, the price of a used Suzuki Mehran in Pakistan has crossed Rs. 1.5 Million as of March 2023. Suzuki Mehran, a car once considered one of the cheapest and most reliable car in Pakistan has now gone out of the budget of many first time car buyers or people on a lower budget.
However, the Suzuki Mehran has now became the most valuable asset in terms of saving fuel and spare parts, unfortunately Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has stopped the production of the Suzuki Mehran back in 2019 and replaced it with the new Suzuki Alto 660cc.
The Suzuki Alto 660cc comes with some additional safety features and an option for an Automatic Gear Shift (AGS) transmission, but despite replacement, the market demand of Suzuki Mehran has continued to rise due to the vehicle’s fuel economy, cheaper spare parts and resale value.
Due to high inflation the prices of brand new aka zero meter cars are out of reach of most Pakistanis, who end up searching for reliable used car options that can help save their investment, give them better mileage and most of all a good resale value, which is why Suzuki Mehran is still the ideal option in Pakistan.
Used Suzuki Mehran Cross Rs. 1.5 Million
At the moment, a used Suzuki Mehran in a perfect condition and low mileage is being sold somewhere around Rs. 1.5 million in the local automotive market and people are still considering this option over used Japanese cars like Daihatsu Mira, or the Japanese variant of Suzuki Alto.
The main reason behind the preference is the reliability of the Suzuki Mehran, its easy maintenance, and cheap spare parts, which makes the local Suzuki Mehran the perfect choice for a salaried person.
Majority of Pakistanis cannot afford to keep their vehicles maintained by the respective car companies, which makes Suzuki Mehran the perfect option since it is easy to maintain and every street mechanic knows his way around this car.
Why is Suzuki Mehran Still The Best available Option?
- Suzuki Mehran Maintains Its Resale Value
- Low Cost of Maintenance
- Cheap and Easily Available Spare Parts
- Every Mechanic Knows The Car
Considering the current prices of cars, a used Suzuki Mehran at Rs. 1.5 million still sounds worth the investment as it will be one of the most affordable vehicles in today’s crushing economy.
However, It is unfortunate that high inflation and depreciation of currency due to poor policies made by the Federal Government have doubled prices of all cars, bringing them out of reach of many people.
Meanwhile, there are many people looking for affordable EV options to save money as price of petroleum products has reached an all time high in the country.
