KARACHI: Exchange rate of UAE Dirham has gained three paisas in Pakistan open market against Pakistani rupee to close at Rs76. 25 on Tuesday, 11 March 2025.
The selling rate of the UAE currency AED in Pakistan at same time also strengthened at 76. Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP) said at the local currency market, it was quoted at Rs 85.
United Arab Emirates: Dirham — Dirham is the local currency used in the United Arab Emirates. Currency exchange is the process and method of exchange of currency which overseas Pakistanis usually need to convert the currency of their host country into Pakistani currency.

Dinar of UAE stands at Rs 76. 25 in open market. Therefore, 1,000 Dirham will be equivalent in Pakistan to Rs76,250.

According to data published by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the overseas Pakistanis sent a total of $3.1 billion to Pakistan on the head of remittances in February 2025, a growth of 3.8% month on month over January 2025.
Remittances stood at $2.79 billion, rising 38.6% on year-on-year basis over $2.25 billion in the same month last year.
Pakistan received $652.2 million in remittances from the UAE in February, up 4.94% month-on-month from $621.5 million in January.
In dollar terms, remittances rose by 69.49% year-on-year, from $384.8 million in the same month a year ago.
