Bank Holiday Announced on Monday

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced a bank holiday on December 25, 2023 (Monday on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

In a notification, the central bank wrote, “The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on December 25, 2023 (Monday) being public holiday on the occasions of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as declared by the Government of Pakistan.”

Monday’s bank holiday will be observed by all commercial banks, which are going to remain closed for three consecutive days due to the weekend (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). However, the select-branches that operate on Saturday will open as per schedule and observe just two days off (Sunday and Monday).

The Government of Pakistan has already declared a public holiday on December 25, 2023, with all schools, colleges, and offices to remain closed across the country.

Furthermore, the Cabinet Division has shared a List of Public Holidays in Pakistan For 2024.
