CAIRO: Dubai based ride-hailing company Careem has launched a bus-booking service in Egypt.
Careem has planned to expand the same service in Saudia Arabia and Pakistan.
Bus-Booking – Users of the Careem application will be able to Book a Bus like other services offered by Careem app.

The Bus option will be added as their pick-up and drop location, track the bus along dedicated routes, the Middle East company said in a statement.
According to Careem, 13-seater commuter van (Bus) will be available at the fixed-rates fares which will be 60 to 70 percent cheaper than its car services.
The Purpose of introducing Bus-booking is to the more passenger in affordable rates.

Communal ride-sharing options are not new in the country, where homegrown start-ups provide on-demand shuttle bus services for local commuters in Cairo. Careem’s rival Uber, too, has a significant market share in Egypt with its services.
Careem officials has not confirmed when this Bus-Booking option will be available in Pakistan.
