Czech software company Icewarp announced its entry into the Pakistani market, bringing with it a data center and a suite of digital solutions.
Founded in 1998, Icewarp offers services like email hosting, team chat, online conferencing, and more, in over 100 countries. They aim to support Pakistan’s digitalization efforts by providing these solutions at affordable prices.
“We see immense potential in Pakistan’s digital transformation, from government to businesses,” said Jan Urbik, Icewarp’s Global Chief Sales Officer. “Our cost-effective solutions with advanced security features will be attractive to various industries, from finance to startups.”
Icewarp plans to establish a data center that complies with Pakistani regulations, ensuring local data privacy. Their offerings are claimed to be 60% cheaper than competitors, potentially enabling many Pakistani businesses to adopt these technologies for the first time.
“These solutions will not only save companies money compared to traditional options,” said Saad Shah, CEO of Hexalyze, Icewarp’s Pakistani partner, “but they will also reduce the outflow of foreign currency by keeping service provider costs down.”
Hexalyze, established in 2014, works with businesses of all sizes in Pakistan and other regions to integrate technological solutions. Icewarp will set up a regional office in Pakistan alongside its data center, while separate data centers will be built in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
