Meezan Bank has announced a holiday on 1st Ramadan as directed by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) for the purpose of deduction of Zakat.
The Ministry of Alleviation and Social Safety has released a notification announcing the minimum Zakat Nisab, which is set at Rs. 135,179 this year.

Furthermore, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) is scheduled to meet today in Peshawar for the sighting of the crescent moon that will mark the start of the holy month.
Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) already announced the start of Ramadan 2024 from today (March 11).
