Pakistani Fintech company, SadaPay, has announced that their SadaBiz users will now be able to receive payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay in Pakistan.
Earlier this year, SadaPay launched their business account for Freelancers called SadaBiz, which was aimed at providing an easy way for them to receive payments from clients around the globe without any hidden fees.
The announcement came as part of SadaPay’s first ever SadaSummit held last Friday at COLABS, which was attended by IT industry veterans and thought leaders in the freelancing ecosystem.
Freelancers in Pakistan have always lacked opportunities, which includes lack of training facilities and access to international market due to inability to receive payments from most overseas clients.
Apple Pay and Google Pay makes it significantly easier for freelancers in Pakistan to be part of the international market and receive payment for their work in a hassle-free manner without any hidden fees or charges.
Though Apple Pay has not made its way officially to Pakistan, it has a global foot print with over 550 million users worldwide. Similarly, Google Pay also boasts about 150 million users globally.
SadaPay’s press release stated, “SadaPay has connected Pakistani freelancers with 700 million plus devices worldwide having Apple Pay and Google Pay access.”
“Our vision is clear – the future of work for Pakistani youth lies in freelancing,” says Brandon Timinsky, CEO at SadaPay. “The integration of Apple Pay is a monumental stride in realizing this vision. This initiative not only unlocks employment prospects for our skilled youth but also plays a crucial role in funneling valuable foreign exchange into Pakistan.”
