According to some sources, Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) might be launching the Toyota Altis 12th Generation in Pakistan to keep ahead of the upcoming competition in the country.
Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) is already set to launch the Toyota Yaris on 27 March 2020 however, the launch might get delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak but the point is that the company is working hard to stay ahead of the curve.
There is a ton of new competition entering the Pakistan auto sector in the coming months and Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) is launching new vehicles as a response.

The Toyota Yaris will compete with the Honda City and upcoming Proton Saga while IMC is also planning on introducing the Toyota RAV4 to go against the upcoming Hyundai Tucson, Proton X70 and the already launched KIA Sportage.
The Toyota Altis 12th Generation will however compete with the Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra which is also coming to Pakistan in the next few months according to sources and the Toyota Altis 12th Gen will be available in 1.8 litre engine capacity most likely because the 1.3 litre and 1.5 litre will be covered by the Toyota Yaris.
IMC will be discontinuing the Toyota Corolla 1.3L and 1.5L XLi and GLi variants which will be replaced by the coming Toyota Yaris.

The Toyota Altis 12th Generation was launched in Thailand last year in September with three engine options that include two petrol engines with a 1.6L engine with 125 hp and 156 Nm of torque and a 1.8L engine with 140 hp and 177 Nm of torque paired with a automatic CVT transmission for both the cars.
The third variant introduced of the Toyota Altis 12th Generation was a hybrid version with a 1.8L engine with 121 hp and 142 Nm of torque.
However, right now Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has not officially released any information regarding the launch of the Toyota Altis 12th Generation in Pakistan so we will have to wait and see what happens.
