Competition in the auto sector is increasing with new companies coming into the market and to maintain their market share, Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) is introducing some new vehicles in Pakistan and one of them is reportedly a new compact SUV Toyota RAV4.
The Toyota RAV4 will directly compete against the KIA Sportage which has made quite the mark in the auto sector. This won’t be the only competition the Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) is going to face in Pakistan as Hyundai Tucson is also going to enter the market very soon and it was already displayed at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS 2020) that was held in Lahore.

Toyota RAV4 has even more competition that it will have to deal with since Sazgar BAIC in a collaboration are also launching their Senova X25 compact crossover which falls right along the new Toyota vehicle.

Proton is also planning on launching their SUV the Proton X70 which will also be a hurdle for the new Toyota RAV4 and these new cars seem to be the reason why Toyota is launching its new SUV in the first place since they couldn’t just rely on their Toyota Fortuner since especially since sales have already been affected.

About the Toyota RAV4
Toyota RAV4 will feature a 2.4 lire engine and is also said to have a hybrid variant that will be launched with a 1.8 litre engine but will be equivalent to a 2.4 litre engine being a hybrid.
This certainly puts it above the competition since KIA Sportage comes with a 2.0 litre engine and the Hyundai Tucson is also said to have a 2.0 litre engine.
The Proton X70 and Sazgar BAIC Senova X25 however will come with a much smaller 1.5 litre engine.
Toyota is reportedly going to import the Toyota RAV4 as a CBU at first and depending on the response, they are going to start the assembly here in Pakistan.
