ISLAMABAD: In a historic move to improve the connectivity of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), air cargo business route between Urumqi and Islamabad has been initiated.
Launching two flights a week with a 26-ton per flight capacity, this new route will greatly enhance cross-border trade and e-commerce by improving logistics efficiency and reducing delivery times for businesses in the two countries.
New cargo flights from Urumqi to Islamabad will create avenues for exports of fresh fruits, vegetables and other perishable goods as well as a speedy import of skilled manpower and other good from Pakistan.
Analysts that this is the avenue that will provide impetus for regional trade integration via CPEC to facilitate implementation and for more efficient and economical transit of goods.
This route is the reflection of Pakistan–China increasing economic cooperation and the commitment of both the governments to build stronger trade relations between the two nations and enjoy the benefits of economy in combined.
