Farzana Jamali, boldly takes a stand against sexual harassment  at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Nawabshah by her Professor/head of department Amir Khattak, Head of Department at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University’s English Department.

Farzana Jamali is a student of final year at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, English Department. After months of abuse and mental stress, she has finally gathered up courage to accuse the head of department after facing Harassment at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Nawabshah

She told in the press conference that the teacher has been harassing and making personal comments for past few months. She had taken the complaint to the Vice Chancellor – Arshad Saleem Arain of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, but nothing was done.

When the father of Farzana Jamali, who is a teacher by profession, took the matter to the Vice Chancellor – Arshad Saleem Arain, VC tried to suppress the matter and he was threatened with dire consequences.

She went on to state that the accused professor had gotten into an accident later that day after which he, along with some of his aides, had registered a ‘false’ FIR against her father to trap him.

Appealed to the Chief Justice

Farzana has appealed to the Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and also has urged the media to help her get justice.

Sindh Inspector General (IG) Amjad Javed Saleemi on Monday took notice of alleged harassment of a student of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) in Nawabshah at the hands of a professor after a video of her cry for help went viral on social media.

The Sindh IG took notice of the matter today, and asked the Deputy Inspector General of Shaheed Benazirabad to submit a report.

There must be hundreds and thousands of girl student facing harassment from their professors and teachers every day. When the teachers, professors and the heads are incompetent and instead of merit the are bestowed the high positions on personal references, this is the consequence, they become animals. The most respected profession in the world becomes loathsome.

Dreams in the innocent eyes are shattered by our beloved and most respected teachers. Nawabshah city which is now called Shaheed Benazirabad and the University which is called Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Bibi Shaheed who believed in women empowerment, daughters there are crying.

Hopefully the PPP Government will also take strong action against the VC – Arshad Saleem Arain and Amir Khattak, Head of Department at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University’s English Department. Both should be fired and never be allowed to serve any educational institute anywhere in the country.

Till the case is resolved please suspend both accused.
