Blended 328 is country band from United States and nowadays they are touring Pakistan. Blended 328 has created a hybrid form of country music, with 3 girls and 3 guys of different ethnicity and musical influences, Blended 328 has created a hybrid form of country music that is truly unique and enticing. Crashing on the Nashville music scene in May of 2011 Blended 328 have quickly become a local favorite, performing sold out shows all around the globe.
“We were very excited to come to Pakistan, but never expected such a warm and open reception from everyone,” said Gabe Jordan, one of the band’s guitarists. “Working alongside Pakistani musicians has been the opportunity of a lifetime,” chimed in lead vocalist Kimberly Phillips.
The band, comprised of three female singers and three male instrumentalists from various ethnic backgrounds, emphasized the importance of cross cultural diversity and gender equality during their tour. Chargé d’Affaires, Ambassador Richard Hoagland praised the band’s work in opening remarks at The Rock Musicarium, saying “In many ways, Blended’s story reflects Pakistan’s story. Pakistan is a country of great diversity, of many different types of people, all united under one flag. And it is this diversity, whether cultural, ethnic or religious, that helps make Pakistan great.”
Blended 328 performed at The Rock Musicarium Islamabad last night, along with some of the new talent of Islamabad including Natasha Ejaz and Mirza Shaheryar. Although, The event saw a delay due to heavy sandstorm and wind in Islamabad but it didn’t stop anyone. The people were filled with excitement and zest.
Blended 328 started a new trend in Pakistan ‘#BlendedPAK’. They have performed in Lahore, Muzaffarabad and in recent in Islamabad. They were the first foreign band to ever perform in Muzaffarabad. The recent Country music concert in Islamabad was a very energetic and magnificent one, Islamabad loved listening to country music from south. People came all the way from Peshawar, Rawalpindi and the outskirts of Islamabad, to enjoy the concert. Many Students had an exam the next morning but they still came to Enjoy the concert.
The American country rock band Blended 328 performed in four cities across Pakistan as part of the US Embassy’s music diplomacy program. The band’s 15-day schedule included performances in Karachi‚ Lahore‚ Muzaffarabad‚ and Islamabad.
In addition to bringing musicians from the United States to Pakistan, the US government also sponsors several music exchange programs, including Center Stage and OneBeat, which offer opportunities for Pakistani musicians to promote their country’s rich cultural heritage through concerts in the United States. These artists become cultural ambassadors, sharing Pakistan’s music with audiences worldwide.
In last year, US Embassy in Pakistan has organized four concerts throughout in Pakistan, including a Rock concert, Jazz concert, Areeb Azhar’s concert and Della Bella’s concert.
