LAHORE: No decision has yet been taken for opening Schools in Punjab or conducting exams for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) on 1 June 2020 according to two separate notifications has been issued by the Punjab Education Department and Schools Education Minister Murad Raas and the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
Earlier a fake notification started to circulate the internet which said that schools will be re-opening along SSC and HSSC examinations will be held however, the new notification issued states that no such decision has yet been taken and any news circulating in this regard is fake.
The notification issued by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore states that there are many letters and proposals on the internet regarding the decision of SSC and HSSC annual exams and results however, they are all misleading and bogus.

The notice issued by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education reads:
The decision for the conduct of exams and results shall be taken only the competent authority and the same shall be available at all the websites of all boards in Punjab.
The School Education department has also tweeted informing that all schools in Punjab are to remain closed and no decision has yet been taken regarding re-opening of schools on 1 June 2020. The Tweet clarifies that all such news regarding re-opening of schools is “FAKE”.
