The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced reduced school timings in Dubai during Ramadan 2023.
According to the details, the KHDA has instructed that school timings in Dubai should exceed five hours of instruction time. Furthermore, it said that schools timings must not exceed 12:00 noon on Friday’s to accommodate the Friday prayer.
Moreover, the schools have been instructed to exempt fasting students from participating in PE classes, while homework and revision expectations need to reconsidered and lowered as well.
According to reports, many schools in Dubai have set timings from 7.45 am to 12.45 am from Monday to Thursday with usual timing on Friday for Ramadan 2023.
It is pertinent to mention that Ramadan is expected to begin in the UAE on March 23 and end on April 21.
