Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, announced that the Federal Government has decided to restore Prime Minister (PM) Laptop Scheme under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP).
The announcement was made during a press conference alongside Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Marriyum Aurangzeb.
According to the details, the Government will distribute over 100,000 laptops to deserving students across the country under the Prime Minister (PM)Laptop Program.
“There will be 50% share of women, while transgender will also be accommodated in the programme.” she said, while sharing details of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme.
Meanwhile, she revealed that quota for Balochistan had also been doubled. ” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will launch the scheme soon.” she confirmed. However, she did not give an exact timeline or date for the restoration of the programme.
