The Federal Minister for Education and Training Shafqat Mehmood on Tuesday announced the launch of an Inter-Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) e-portal app for the issuance of equivalence certificates for students to simplify the hectic and time consuming process.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, the Federal Minister said that previously students had to stand in long queues at the office of the Inter-Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) to get their equivalence certificates.
He added that the IBCC e-portal app would help simply the lengthy process for obtaining equivalence certificates without having the need to go anywhere through online application and payment.
However, the minister said that the old system would remain in place in case somebody opted for it but the move towards the digital process is aimed at facilitation of students.
The biggest convenience of the online process of getting equivalence certificates through the e-portal app is being able to track the progress of the application. Furthermore, the IBCC will sent the equivalence certificate to the student through postal service and there won’t be any delays in the application processing.
“In the future, the certificate will also be available in PDF format,” he added.
