The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced the summer vacations for all schools and colleges in the Islamabad Capital Territory. The summer holidays will start on June 10, 2024, and extend until July 31, 2024.
However, the students enrolled in undergraduate programs, including BS and ADP courses, will continue their studies as per their semester schedules regardless of summer vacations.
During the summer holidays, educational institutions will focus on enhancing their infrastructure and operational efficiency. Planned activities include physical stock verification, as well as the repair and maintenance of furniture, buildings, and playgrounds.
Moreover, the last week of July will feature in-house Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions. These sessions aim to improve the skills and teaching methodologies of the staff. Heads of educational institutions have been directed to engage teachers in these improvement initiatives, ensuring their expertise is utilized effectively.
Teachers will also attend training sessions, with detailed schedules to be provided at a later date.
This initiative highlights the FDE’s dedication to creating a better learning environment and ensuring that both staff and facilities are well-prepared for the upcoming academic year.
