The authorities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have officially announced a new date for retake of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2023 in the province.
According to the details, the MDCAT 2023 retake will now take place on November 26 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and the Khyber Medical University (KMU) will be responsible for organizing the new test.
It is pertinent to mention that KP’s MDCAT suffered a major controversy involving students cheating with a Bluetooth headset, which resulted in the cancellation of the original test and a meticulous investigation into the incident.
As a result, the Peshawar High Court (PHC) directed to retake the admission test and KMU confirmed that it will not receive fees from already registered candidates, which takes off the burden from many aspiring doctors.
According to KMU, there are 46,658 candidates that have registered for the upcoming MDCAT 2023. However, there are 219 candidates that have been barred from the test for two years due to the previous cheating scandal.
