PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved the KP School Bags (Limitation Weight) Act which will provide relief especially to younger students.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai took to Twitter announcing the new legislation that will regulate the weight of school bags in the province.

“I am glad to announce that the Provincial Cabinet has approved the KP School Bags (Limitation Weight) Act today which will to regulate the weight of School Bags. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the first province to introduce such legislation. A long due relief for children & parents,” the education minister wrote in his Tweet.

The new law is applicable to all public and private educational institutions in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
