The Government of Sindh has announced that annual Secondary School Certificate (Matric) exams for ninth and tenth-grade students will take place from May 8.
According to the details, there will be over 700,000 male and female students participating in the matric exams taking place in Sindh’s Hyderabad, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, and Mirpurkhas divisions.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Ismail Rahoo has express concerns about increasing heat in the province and requested the Federal Government and K-Electric to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity during the examination.
He added that facilities like cold water and tightened security, to prevent cheating, will be provided to students, who are going to be prohibited from using mobile phones alongside teachers during the exams.
Anyone found in violation will be held responsible and strict action will be taken if a student is caught cheating. Furthermore, the Sindh Government has enforced Section 144 around the examination centers during the exams.
