LAHORE: There are no plans to close schools in Punjab for now amid the rising number of coronavirus cases being reported across the province according to the provincial education minister Murad Raas.
Taking to Twitter, the education minister said that the coronavirus situation at schools was being monitored closely and there random testing is being done continuously.
According to the education minister, there is a slight increase in the coronavirus cases at schools in Punjab but nothing to be concerned about at the moment.
Furthermore, he clarified that there was no plan to close schools in the province and urged everyone to keep following the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
It is pertinent to mention that coronavirus cases in Pakistan have been surging for the past few weeks and several smart lockdowns have been implemented across the country especially in major cities.
