ISLAMABAD: Primary schools in Pakistan will resume classes from September 30 as decided in a meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
According to the Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, the decision to let primary schools in Pakistan to resume classes was made after reviewing the coronavirus situation in the country.

Considering the satisfactory situation, the decision was made to resume primary school classes in the country however, strict implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) will need to be observed.
The Federal Minister said that authorities will continue to monitor the situation and strict action will be taken against schools not following proper standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Primary Schools in Punjab
Primary schools in Punjab will also resume classes from September 30th as announced by Provincial Education Minister Murad Raas on Twitter.
He emphasized the importance of following standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by School Education Department as action will be taken against violators.
Schools in Sindh
Earlier, the government of Sindh had delayed reopening of middle schools but later allowed to resume classes after reviewing the coronavirus situation.
Furthermore, primary and pre-primary schools in Sindh will also resume classes from tomorrow (September 30th).
Balochistan
Earlier it was decided by the Balochistan government to delay reopening primary schools in the province by 15 days after an jump in the coronavirus positive cases.
However, primary school classes will be continuing tomorrow along with the rest of the country in the final decision taken today at the NCOC meeting.
