LAHORE: In light of the holy month of Ramazan, the Punjab and Sindh education departments have officially announced revised school timings for both private and public schools.
The new schedule aims to accommodate students and staff during the month of fasting, ensuring a balanced routine for all.
Punjab School Timings for Ramazan
According to a notification issued by the Punjab Schools Education Department, schools operating on a single shift will now open at 8:30 AM and close at 1:00 PM from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the timings will be slightly adjusted, with schools closing at 12:30 PM.
For schools with double shifts, the morning session will run from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while the afternoon shift will operate from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. On Fridays, the second shift will begin at 2:30 PM and end at 4:00 PM.

Sindh School Timings for Ramazan
In Sindh, single-shift schools will function from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM. For double-shift institutions, the morning session will be held from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by the afternoon session from 11:45 AM to 2:45 PM.
On Fridays, single-shift schools will operate from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM, while double-shift schools will conclude their afternoon sessions by 1:15 PM.
Implementation and Compliance
School administrators across both provinces have been instructed to implement the revised timings immediately upon the start of Ramazan. The adjusted schedule is designed to provide convenience to students and staff observing fasts, ensuring they can balance their religious obligations and academic responsibilities effectively.
