The Punjab Government on Friday announced a Scholarship Program for non-Muslim students that will provide scholarships to deserving students across the province.
According to the details, the Scholarship Program for non-Muslim students will provide Rs. 50,000 stipend to those enrolled in PhD and MPhil programmes, while those enrolled in masters and MSc will be given a stipend of Rs. 35,000 by the provincial government.
Furthermore, the students who are currently doing graduation and BSc will get Rs. 30,000 in stipend, while those doing intermediate will be provided a stipend of Rs. 20,000. Meanwhile, the matric students will be given Rs. 15,000 by the provincial government under the Scholarship Program for non-Muslim students.
Eligibility Criteria
The students that secured 50 percent passing marks in their last examination will be entitled to stipends under the programme given that family income of the applicant is less than Rs. 35,000.
To apply for the Scholarship Program, non-Muslim students can submit their applications to the Department of Human and Minorities Affairs by September 29, 2022. It is pertinent to mention that no applications will be entertained after the due date has passed.
