Punjab announces summer vacation for colleges and universities

The Higher Education Department of Punjab has announced summer vacation for all public and private colleges and universities across the province from 12 July 2021 to 31 July 2021.

“It is hereby notified that all Public / Autonomous and Private Sector Colleges and Universities in Punjab shall remain close for summer vacation from 12.07.2021 till 31.07.2021.” said the notification issued by the Punjab Higher Education Department.

According to the notification issued by the Higher Education Department of Punjab, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Annual Examinations 2021 will be conducted by respective boards as per notified schedule.

The notification adds that all public and private universities are allowed to conduct examinations as per their schedule under strict observance of COVID-19 SOPs.

It is pertinent to mention that the Punjab Government had announced one month long summer holidays for all public and private schools across the province from July 1 to August 1 due to increasing intensity of heat.
