Punjab Announces Winter Vacations in Non-Formal Education Institutes

The Government of Punjab has announced winter vacations in all non-formal education institutes from January 1 to January 10, 2024.

The Punjab’s Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Department has issued a notification on the matter. “In new of the increasing harsh weather, the winter vacations in all Non-Formal Education Institutions in Punjab are hereby notified from 01^st January, 2024 to 10^th January, 2024.” the notification read.

It means that normal classes for all non-formal institutes will resume on January 11th, 2024.

In related news, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the Punjab Government to announce an extension to winter vacations for all schools and colleges due to the severe cold wave gripping the province.

However, the Punjab’s Education Department is yet to issue a notification in this regard.
