Rawalpindi Schools & Colleges Closed on August 26

Rawalpindi – The Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi has issued a notification declaring that all educational institutions, including universities, colleges, and schools (both government and private), situated within the municipal limits of Tehsil Rawalpindi, will remain closed on Monday, August 26, 2024. This closure is in observance of the Chehlum procession.

It is important to note that the closure excludes institutions located within the cantonment area. The decision has been made to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Chehlum procession.

The notification has been circulated to all relevant authorities, including the Chief Secretary of Punjab, the Secretary to Chief Minister, and other key officials, to ensure compliance and necessary actions.

Residents and students are advised to plan accordingly as educational activities will be suspended on the specified date. Further information and updates will be provided as needed.
