The Government of Sindh has warned schools from forcing students to purchase warm clothes, including coats, blazers, socks, and other articles from their own schools or a particular shop.
According to the details, it has been brought to the attention of the concerned department that schools administration has warned students that they will not be allowed to enter the school premises unless they buy warm clothes from a particular shop or their own school.
The School Education Department (SED) in Sindh has warned schools administration to stop this practice immediately. “The compulsion of purchasing the aforesaid items from the concerned schools is a serious violation against the instructions issued by this Directorate from time to time.” said the notification.
It added that defaulters shall be dealt with severely and strict action will be initiated against the school as per existing rules.

In order to provide relief to students, the Government of Punjab ordered schools to relax their uniform policy and allow students to wear any warm clothes during winter.
