The Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SELD) has decided to introduce a diploma in digital marketing for the first time in 30 government colleges across the province.
According to the details, the digital marketing diploma has been launched in the government colleges located in Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Sukkur and Shaheed Benazirabad.
Furthermore, a five member committee has been constituted to finalize the structure of diploma and formulating the technical aspects and make the mechanism. Moreover, the digital marketing module has been approved by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission.
During the first phase, the digital marketing diploma will be of one year, the Secretary Colleges, Sadaf Sheikh, told Express Tribune. “Students will have a two-hour daily class for diploma. We have introduced this especially for the Computer Science students but any other group can also do this diploma if they want to.” she added.
She said that the diploma would open employment opportunities for students by providing them with the relevant experience when they enter the university.
