The Government of Sindh has finally proposed a new date for retake for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2023.
According to the interim Health Minister, Dr Saad Khalid, the Government of Sindh has proposed the new date of November 19 for re-conducting MDCAT 2023 exam, which is going to be free for all aspiring candidates.
During a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, he said the same date has been suggested to the PMDC by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It is pertinent to mention that caretaker Chief Minister had announced that MDCAT 2023 would be re-conducted through Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) after growing concerns and controversy surrounding the initial test results.
An inquiry into the original MDCAT revealed that September 10 paper, which was taken by 40,000 students and organized by Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), was leaked four to five hours before the test began.
The caretaker Minister also said that everyone involved in the paper leak will be dealt with in a strict manner with further action to be taken once a detailed report is obtained from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
