KARACHI: Sindh Schools will not re-open on 1 June 2020 according to a notification issued by the Sindh School Education Department.
According to the notification, schools in Sindh will not open on 1 June 2020 as previously stated by the Provincial Government. The decision has been taken in view of the coronavirus outbreak in the country as number of cases keep mounting.
The notification also states that students of Class 1 to Class VIII are promoted to their next classes.

Earlier, Punjab Government released a notification stating that they are allowing schools to open administrative offices only however, classes will remain suspended. The notification states that the permission has been given only to perform activities such as collection of fees and disbursement of teacher salaries.
