The Pakistan Army conveyed congratulations to the nation for the “generally peaceful and violence-free conduct of general elections 2024,” as reported by ARY News, quoting the military’s media wing.
In an official press release, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) expressed pride in the armed forces and other law enforcement agencies for playing a pivotal role in ensuring security during the sacred electoral process. The statement emphasized their commitment to supporting civil power in accordance with the constitution of Pakistan.

“With the deployment of 137,000 army personnel and civil armed forces at approximately 6,000 selected most sensitive polling stations and over 7,800 QRFs, a safe and secure environment for the public was ensured,” affirmed the ISPR.
Despite the generally peaceful atmosphere, the military’s media wing reported 51 cowardly terrorist attacks, primarily in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, resulting in the martyrdom of 12 individuals, including 10 security personnel, and injuries to 39 others.
The ISPR highlighted the proactive intelligence maneuvers and swift actions undertaken by security agencies, neutralizing many potential threats. The statement underscored the unwavering commitment of these agencies to protect the democratic rights of citizens, noting the elimination of five terrorists in various operations.
