Siraj-ul-Haq has stepped down as Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Amir on Monday following the defeat and worst performance of JI in the Elections 2024. JI secured no seats in the National Assembly and got only two seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly.
محنت اور کوشش کے باوجود کامیابی نہین دلا سکا، الیکشن میں شکست کی ذمہ داری قبول کرتے ہوئے جماعت اسلامی کی امارت سے استعفی دے دیا ہے۔

In 2014, the senior minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and leader of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Sirajul Haq, emerged victorious in the party’s leadership election, securing the position of Amir.
Taking over from the outgoing chief, Syed Munawar Hassan, the election took place at the JI Headquarters in Mansoora, where out of 31,311 party office-bearers, 25,533 participated in the voting process. Sirajul Haq garnered the majority of votes in 2014, marking the beginning of his five-year tenure as the party chief.
After successfully being re-elected in 2019, Siraj ul Haq completed a decade of service to Jamaat-i-Islami. However, he recently resigned from his position, concluding his leadership role within the party.
