The annual American Music Awards (AMA 2020) premiered live on Sunday night, 22nd November, where some of the big and deserving names from music industry took home the worthy titles. The show consisted of total 32 awards categories, blended with stage rocking music performances, making it an incredible evening.
The American Music Awards (AMA 2020) is an annual American music awards show, generally held in the fall season, created by Dick Clark in 1973. Previously, the nominations and winners were carefully chosen by the members from music industry. However, since 2006 edition, the title holders are selected by poll of the public and fans, who can vote through the AMAs website.

The American Music Awards 2020 aired on Sunday, from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Keeping the Covid-19 protocols in mind, the show embraced a limited audience, followed with testing everyone who enters the building.
In addition, Taraji P. Henson helmed the evening, whereas some of the leading music icons like Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes, and Justin Bieber etc. swayed the floor with their jaw-dropping performances.
The American Music Awards 2020 were unwrapped by Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes, who opened the show with their new single, “Monster.” Subsequently, Bieber also performed two of his mega hit singles, “Lonely” and “Holy.”
Furthermore, the enthralling diva Katy Perry also took the stage at American Music Awards (AMA 2020), for the first time since becoming a mom and performed “Only Love” alongside Darius Rucker. Other performances were by Jennifer Lopez and Maluma, the Weeknd with Kenny G, Korean boys’ squad BTS, Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa, Dan + Shay and many more.
Here to mention, the drop dead gorgeous vocalist Taylor Swift bagged most of the awards at American Music Awards (AMA 2020), smashing her own records. She now holds the record for most AMA career wins by a single artist with 32 titles. However, Swift was unable to attend the awards in person, owing to her busy schedule.
