Atif Butt Crowned As “King of the Iron Fist” After Winning Tekken World Tour

Pakistani E-sports player, Atif Butt, has been crowned the “King of the Iron Fist” after he won the Tekken World Tour 2022 competition in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The videogame developer, Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. organized the Tekken World Tour (TWT), an international offline tournament series, where the best Tekken players compete to be crowned “The King of the Iron Fist.”

Atif Butt, who hails from Gujranwala, competed against 24 players from across the world and he was able to make his way to the very end as well as defeat South Korea’s Sang-Hyun “Jeondding” Jeon to secure the first place in the tournament and bag the price money of $50,000,

Taking to Twitter, Bandai Namco Esports announced the winner of the Tekken World Tour 2022. “@AtifButt540 is your #TWT2022 Champion.” it said.

It is pertinent to mention that it was the first time that Pakistan was included in the regional qualifiers in the first Tekken World Tour to be held in three years.

Meanwhile, the official Twitter handle of Tekken posted, “It’s official – the new King of the Iron First is [Asif Butt].”

Taking to Twitter, Atif Butt said, “I would like to thank Allah, my family, my friends, @ashesgamingpk and each and everyone of you who supports me and keeps me going! Thankyou all for your prayers!”

“I’m out of words right now, its all very surreal! Pakistan Zindabad!” he added.
