BLACKPINK sets Youtube on fire with their new single 'How you like that'

South Korea’s K-pop girl group “BLACKPINK” smashes all previous viewership records with their new single “How you like that.”

The 4 girls group Blackpink made an outclass comeback last Friday, maintaining their viewership dominance on Youtube with “How you like that” gaining 86.3 million views within 24 hours of release. The K-pops musical video is also number one on trending videos of Youtube since the day of its release. Not stopping here, the new super-hit release also marked another title to its name, setting up record for biggest Youtube premiere as mentioned by Youtube itself.

“Blackpink’s ‘how you like that’ officially registered 86.3 million views in the first 24 hours. The video also set a new record for the biggest-ever Youtube Premiere with 1.66 million peak concurrent viewers.” – stated the worldwide video platform.

With their new blockbuster, the Blackpink girls snatched two Youtube titles previously held by other K-pop boy gang BTS or “Bangtan boys.” With their new single “How you like that” receiving 82.4 million views within 24 hours, the girls out-placed “boy with luv” by BTS ft. Halsey that held highest views within 24 hours with 74.6 million.

The other title that Korean girls plucked from BTS garden was “fastest to hit 100 million views.” Previously, BTS’s “boy with luv” held the title when it gained 100 million views within 37 hours of release; however, Blackpink’s “how you like that” crossed a million views five hours earlier at about 32 hours, topping the boys and naming the title to their names.

This is not the first time South Korean Pop singers “Blackpinks” shattered records. In April 2019, their “kill your love” won the similar title with 56.7 million views within 24 hours. Later, it was outperformed by BTS “boy with luv” the same month.

Consisting of four beautiful voiced Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, the K-pop gang BLACKPINK was formed in Seoul, South Korea by YG entertainment in 2016. With their singing skills and soothing voices, they became the “first and only K-pop girl group to enter and top Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart” and the “first female K-pop group to have four number-one singles on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.”

Their current hit “how you like that” that’s trending number 1 on Youtube trends, has gained 160 million views in less than 5 days with 10 million likes. Their Youtube channel “BLACKPINK” also has 39.7 million subscribers at present and the girls are one of the leading K-pop artists.
