The song draws from ancient stories of bravery and strength passed down through generations in Tharparkar, a desert region. Curated by Xulfi, known as Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan, “AAYI AAYI” captures the essence of this folklore and celebrates the resilience of the people.
Directed by Awais Gohar, the song pays homage to the rich heritage of Sindh. The art direction by Hashim Ali blends traditional elements with motifs from the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. Collaborating artists, including Noman Ali, Babar Mangi, Marvi, and Saiban, each bring their own unique style to the song, reflecting the diversity of Pakistan’s most culturally diverse province.
Noman Ali starts with a soulful verse praising the strength of individuals and the unity of the Thar region. Babar Mangi follows with a powerful rap, urging listeners to follow their dreams and embrace their true selves. The music pauses briefly, allowing Marvi and Saiban to showcase their hauntingly beautiful voices.
