ARY digital’s chartbuster screenplay Jalan has finally concluded and the ending has left spectators with mixed opinions as they watched the final episode. The drama serial certainly had the audience glued to the seats for quite a long time now.
About Jalan
As depicted from its title, the megahit serial Jalan was a twisted tale of greed, jealousy, betrayal and discontentment. The drama had been produced by Fahad Mustafa under the banner of Big Bang entertainment, whereas Aaibas Raza served as the director.
Jalan comprised of a star-studded cast, with model turned actress Areeba habib, the charismatic Emmad Irfani, the ravishing Hajra Yamin and the emerging talent Fahad Sheikh as central cast. Moreover, the drop dead gorgeous and extremely skilled Minal Khan portrayed an exclusively negative leading role in the serial, which adds to its mounted fame both nationally and abroad.
The show started to go on air in June 2020. And, it was an instant hit at its opening phase only. With its exhilarating timeline, bold plots and nail-biting turn of events, the presentation garnered exclusive ratings and millions of views on YouTube. Hence, Jalan now ranks as one of the most watched television serials of Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention that as rose beds have thorns too, drama serial Jalan also met with extreme negativity right when the initial teasers released. The subplot of a girl betraying her own blood and going for her brother in-law was fairly controversial and people began criticizing the serial. Therefore, as the story progressed with indecent plots, Jalan was temporarily banned by PEMRA. And, despite of being excluded twice, the serial did not face a decline in its ratings and bounced back with even higher viewership.
