Dubai ruler, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has joined the short video-sharing platform TikTok, he announced on Twitter during the weekend.
According to Sheikh Mohammad, the reason for joining the social media platform was to connect with young people and promote Arabic content with users.
“I officially joined TikTok, the fastest growing platform with more than 800 million users. We want to be where people are. We want to create positive Arabic content and we want to listen to young people and share our stories with them.” said the Dubai ruler while making the announcement about joining TikTok.

According to The National, Sheikh Mohammad plans to use TikTok to connect with his millions of followers around the world and share short clips of his 50-year journey in public service.
He aims to provide “insights in leadership and management to inspire youth to create positive change in society,” added the news agency.
Despite creating the TikTok account just two days ago, the Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammad has managed to garner over 200,000 followers and above 320,000 likes on the three videos he uploaded to the platform.
