Ertugrul Ghazi star Esra Bilgic has taken to Instagram criticizing Lahore CCPO Umar Sheikh for this victim blaming comments regarding the atrocious Lahore motorway rape incident that quivered people from all over the globe.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the leading actress, Esra Bilgic, known for her role of Halime Sultan in the renowned Turkish television series Dirilis Ertugrul denunciated the authoritative figure for his absurd statement, backing the poor mother target.

In his statement on live television, the CCPO Lahore Umar Sheikh said:
I am surprised that a mother of three, a lone driver after leaving Defence should have taken the straight route from GT Road, a generally well-populated area.

Caught up in the wave of public frenzy, the legendary Turkish actress Esra Bilgic also came forward, openly criticizing the CCPO Lahore.
In an Instagram story, Esra Bilgic posted a picture of CCPO Umer Shekih while replying to his irrational misogynistic comments saying:
Women can drive alone or with children, only thing you need to do is provide security.
Esra Bilgic continued, questioning the officer over his responsibilities as a safety provider further writing:
You’re okay with gangs’ presence on your roads as a police officer? You think that if a woman chooses those roads to drive, there is a right to rape and kill them?
Additionally, the actress concluded, pointing the ignorance of CCPO Lahore on a serious matter saying:
You’re displaying a shocking ignorance of this matter. Before you advise, you should change your thoughts. It seems impossible. What a shame on you and people like yourself.”
