Family strips ‘Mufti’ Title From Abdul Qavi

The self-appointed cleric, Abdul Qavi has been stripped of his ‘Mufti’ title by family after his controversial video being slapped by TikTok star Hareem Shah went viral not only on social media but mainstream television as well.

In the viral video that started circulating on social media, the TikTok star Hareem Shah can be seen slapping the controversial Abdul Qavi on the face while he was sitting on the bed.

According to the details, Hareem Shah slapped Mufti Qavi for passing inappropriate and vulgar comments during their meeting at a hotel room in Karachi.

The TikTok star said that she went to visit Mufti Qavi along with a friend and during the meeting, the religious leader began passing some “dirty and vulgar” comments at them.

The incident went viral and it was aired on every media channel in the country but it did not end with just the one video since TikToker Hareem Shah ended up posting more videos of Abdul Qavi and showing the true face of the former cleric.

Family strips ‘Mufti’ title from Abdul Qavi

However, more recently it has been confirmed that the Abdul Qavi has been stripped of his ‘Mufti’ title after his more recent behavior and the shame he has brought to his family.

“The whole family is in a state of shock,” said the former cleric’s uncle, Abdul Wahid Nadeem while addressing media at the Multan Press Club.

“Abdul Qavi has been stripped of his ‘Mufti’ title until his mental state recovers and he gets better.” the uncle added during the press conference.

He added that Abdul Qavi’s actions are not only a disrespect to the family but also Islam. Take a look for yourself at the video below:

It is pertinent to mention that Abdul Qavi has been part of several other controversies over the years, including the Qandeel Baloch indcident and his interrogation as a suspect in her murder case back in 2006.
