Fawad Khan to star in Ms Marvel series

Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan will reportedly make his Hollywood debut with Disney’s much anticipated Ms Marvel series. However, an official statement is yet to be released regarding the matter.

According to the series IMDB page, the Humsafar star will be appearing in one episode of Ms Marvel alongside other Pakistani actors with his character listed as ‘Hasan’.

BBC Entertainment journalist, Haroon Rashid, took to Twitter and made the announcement regarding Fawad Khan making his Hollywood debut with Ms Marvel series.

Wow! Fawad Khan set to appear in Ms. Marvel – the Disney+ series about Marvel’s first titular Muslim character. He’s listed on the show’s official IMDb page. Farhan Akhtar, Nimra Bucha and Samina Ahmad are reportedly part of the cast too. Marvel yet to comment. Amazing if true,

The series will be co-directed by Pakistani Oscar-winning director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy alonside Bilall Fallah, Adil El Arbi and Meera Menon.

Story

Introduced in 2014, Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel, which will be played by Iman Vellani, is a 16-year-old Pakistani American hailing from New Jersey with shapeshifting powers and the first Muslim superhero by Marvel to have her own comic book.

The Ms Marvel series is set to release on Disney+ later this year and fans are definitely excited for Fawad Khan as he returns to the screen after a long hiatus with his first Hollywood project.
