First teaser of ‘Chaudhary – The Martyr’ fails to excite the viewers

First teaser for the highly anticipated biopic ‘Chaudhary – The Martyr’ is finally dropped on YouTube. However, as not expected, the trailer with its additional glitz and irrelevant elements has failed to captivate the audience and create uproar among the viewers.  

Chaudhary – The Martyr is a film tribute dedicated to an audacious late SSP of Karachi Chaudhary Aslam. The enthusiastic fighter had dedicated his whole existence to the city of lights, combatting the criminals to eliminate delinquency from the city. It was on account of his plucky spirit and fearless mind, SSP Aslam was recognized as a voice of terror among the enemies of state.

In 2004, the officer was selected to lead the Lyari Task Force and given the job of ending the gang violence in Karachi’s infamous district. From 2005-2014 Chaudhry Aslam arrested massive bunches of terrorists, gangwar-criminals, target killers and extortionists belonging to multiple political parties. Nevertheless, it was until 9 January 2014, that Aslam’s battle against terrorism served to be his last call of duty, as he embraced martyrdom in a bomb blast. Aslam died after serving the police department for 30 years.

Hence, to treasure and appreciate the services of the valiant soldier of country, a biopic titled, ‘Chaudhary – The Martyr’ was announced few years back. And, ever since, the audience had been eagerly waiting.

However, the first look into the movie has disappointed a huge population, as it prominently missed the mark when portraying a legend like Chaudhary Aslam. The extraordinary stylishness and immaterial item numbers stole the whole minute long teaser, making the movie lose its charm.

The trailer also exhibits Chaudhary Aslam’s character in his signature white Shalwar Qameez, without revealing much about the storyline, except it is all about war and criminals. Let’s have a look at the trailer.  

About Chaudhary – The Martyr

Brought to life by renowned director Azeem Sajjad, Chaudhary – The Martyr is an effort to highlight the life history of gallant SSP Chaudhary Aslam. The movie’s timeline revolves around the struggles and battles of the police official, followed with his courteous death while battling terrorists. Moreover, it also promises to showcase a few important incidents that have occurred in the city in the past and is therefore expected to attract both local and international viewers.

In addition to this, the key role of Chaudhary Aslam is to be depicted by former DSP Tariq Aslam, who was a close friend to the martyr and had stood shoulder by shoulder in majority of his encounters. Other than that, the forthcoming thriller ‘Chaudhary – The martyr” also features some other police officials, who died and accompanied Aslam throughout his journey.

Furthermore, Chaudhary – The martyr will include star-studded faces like Arbaz khan, Asfar Mani, Shamoon Abbasi and Adnan Shah Tipu. Khan plays the role of former SSP Rao Anwar while Abbasi reportedly plays the role of an accomplice to Aslam.

While talking about his approaching saga Chaudhary – The martyr, director Azeem Sajjad revealed, “About 90% of the shooting of the film is being done in Karachi while 10% will be done in Abbottabad.”

Moving further, he also mentioned that services of Special Service Unit (SSU) of the police have also been sought to train the actors.
